2011 Juvenile Challenge Cup

From Monday July 25th we will be running a Challenge cup for Juveniles until Sunday 28th August. All players must be a registered Juvenile member of Rathcore and have a valid GUI handicap.

The qualifying Competitions for Challenge Cup are as follows

Juvenile Open (Singles Competition) 25th July

Open Singles Stableford  on 31st July and 6th, 14th and 21st August

Singles Strokes 10th & 24th August

Monthly Medal 29th August

 

The Winner will be the player with the Highest points scored out of the 8 events and points are awarded for the top 4 placings.

If in the event of a a tie for the winner of the “Juvenile Challenge Cup ” the overall winner will be decided on the points scored in the August Monthly Medal. Failing this, on the lowest nett score on the day of the August Monthly Medal.

 

 

JUNIOR MEMBERS : GUIDELINES

 

Competitions:

Competitions for Juveniles: No Junior member is eligible to win the Monthly Medals, Captain’s, President’s Prizes etc, or any of the Major Competitions

                               Junior members can play in the men's competitions                                     provided the following criteria is adhered to:

1: Juniors MUST be over aged 14 and over in order to play in the men's competitions. 

2: Junior members MUST has a valid GUI Handicap.

3: Junior member MUST be accompanied by an Adult playing member when playing the competitions and the Adult member must signs their score card.

   

Before playing on Course:

Juvenile members must report to the Golf shop before commencing play on the 1st tee.

All Juveniles must report to the Golf Shop on competition day to pay entry on the day.

You must display your membership identification badge on your golf bag.

 

Course Behaviour:

Any group in which a juvenile member is playing (apart from competitions) must offer to give way to adult members. 

No player may play more two balls while playing on the course

 Mobile phones must be switched off on the golf course

Practising chipping onto greens on the course is forbidden.

Replace divots, repair plug marks and rake bunkers

 

Dress Code:

 Neat dress in the Clubhouse and on the Course is required at all times.

Golf shoes must be worn at all times on the course

Slacks, tailored shorts or skirts are acceptable.

Sweaters, golf caps, rain gear and hats are also recognised as golf attire.

The following are considered unsuitable attire when playing on the course

Jeans, Trainers or runners. Sports or football shorts, football shirts.

 

General Etiquette:

Respect fellow team members, give them support when things are going well or badly for them. Respect your opponents, they are not your enemies as they are fellow competitors in a sporting event. Look for your opponents lost ball

Adults have priority on the course and MUST be allowed through.

Avoid slow play
